Description:

Glyceryl monolaurate (GML90) is a lipophilic non-ionic surfactant, naturally present in breast milk, coconut oil and American palm. It is an excellent food emulsifier with an HLB value of 5.2. A safe, efficient and broad-spectrum antibacterial agent with dual functions of emulsification and antiseptic.

What is Glycerol Monolaurate?

Monolaurin is a chemical made from lauric acid, which is found in cocount oil and human breast milk. 
Monolaurin is used for the common cold, flu (influenza), shingles (herpes zoster), and other infections, but there is no good scientific evidence to support its use.
In foods, monolaurin is used in the production of ice cream, margarine, and spaghetti.
In manufacturing, monolaurin is used in making cosmetics, detergents, and insecticides.
